Overspy is a program that monitors computer activity. If you feel the need to be in full control of your computer even when you are away, you may want to download and install this application.
The program creates records of all computer activity. You will be able to see all information related to keystrokes, passwords, clipboard, accessed document, browsed folders, started applications, visited Websites, E-mails, IRC, Yahoo!, MSN and ICQ messages.
Once installed, the program will run either in visible or invisible mode. You can quickly configure it using the ‘Configuration’ wizard. There you can select the configuration type such as Typical, Complete, or Complete + stealth (all spy options enabled while running in stealth mode). The program will also take screenshots of your active windows or your entire screen at a time interval of your choice.
Besides the fact that you can choose which components to monitor, you can also set filters for visiting Websites or running applications and usernames. All you need to do is to select the filter or add the name of a Website, an application or username and the program will restrict the access to that selected items.
As for the reports, they can be viewed using the program or you can set the program to send scheduled emails containing the surveillance logs, in case you are away. The logs can be saved in TXT file format, which can also be cleared after a selected number of actions logged. You can password protect the program to restrict access, as well as encrypting the activity logs to increase data protection.
